The story of Prince Albert Olives Farm:
For generations, the Badenhorst family has produced fine food and wine in South Africa. Their love affair with the land and its bounty continues with this ultra remium extra virgin olive oil and extra special Karoo Olives.
Fred Badenhorst was born and raised on Groot Constantia in the Cape. He and his son, Hein, continue a long family farming tradition in the Prince Albert district of the Great Karoo. Prince Albert is well-known for it’s quality pomegranates, figs, grapes and other fruits. Fresh water, a dry, disease-free climate, ample summer heat and winter cold provide the ideal macro elements for fruit and olive growing. The orchards are managed and harvested by Essie Esterhuisen and his team, and the harvested fruit is processed in a state of the art mill.
